Working for WWF-Australia
WWF-Australia's staff are our most important asset.
Our employment philosophy is based upon mutual respect and loyalty between the organisation and its staff. We believe that good communications and understanding are an integral part of this two-way process.
Our goal is to create a working environment that promotes trust, flexibility, responsibility and an improved work/life balance, coupled with greater productivity and efficiency.
Equal opportunity
WWF is an equal opportunity employer and applies objective and fair criteria to ensure that staff members are selected, assessed, promoted and treated on the basis of their relevant merits, abilities and experience.
No suitable job applicant or staff member will receive less favourable treatment than others in similar circumstances on grounds of race, colour, national or ethnic origin, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, class, age, political or religious belief.
Career development
We are committed to working with our employees to develop career paths that enable them to maximise their contribution to the organisation, achieve job satisfaction, develop their marketability and reach their full potential. We provide staff with on-the-job experience and training, and support their ongoing education.
While we endeavour to recruit staff with the relevant skills for the job, we recognise that changes taking place in the working environment may require further training. On such occasions, WWF offers selective training in core areas to meet these needs.
Conditions of employment
WWF provides conditions of employment that are fair, equitable and sufficiently flexible to meet our operational needs. Our conditions of employment are built around the following key principles:
- Support for flexible work arrangements that balance staff and WWF's needs.
- All staff should be treated in a fair and even-handed way. Our staff and their managers develop sound working relationships and deal with issues at the local level in the first instance.
- Staff take responsibility for achieving work outcomes in a safe and efficient way.
Remuneration and rewards
- WWF aims to pay equitable and competitive salaries that are within the Non-Government Organisation (NGO) market range.
- Superannuation is paid in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee Levy.
- Staff salaries are reviewed annually, at the end of each financial year.
