Cape York turtle conservation work

WWF recently travelled to Cape York to record the amazing sea turtle conservation work being undertaken by the Mapoon Aboriginal community at Camp Chivaree.

The Mapoon community are working to protect threatened sea turtles and have successfully applied for funding through the WWF Threatened Species Network - Community Grants Program, to develop devices that prevent feral pigs and dogs decimating the nearby sea turtle nests.
