SHINING A SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE

Vivid Sydney 2023 & WWF-Australia come together to shine a spotlight on Australia’s wildlife and wild places.

This year, Vivid Sydney will showcase what really matters - connection, authenticity, love and nature through the creative theme ‘Vivid Sydney, Naturally’. WWF-Australia is proudly Vivid Sydney’s official Charity Partner for 2023. Together we will showcase some of Australia’s most unique and spectacular wild places and wildlife throughout the festival through creativity, innovation and technology.

From Vivid House to Vivid Ideas, you can experience and learn about the wildlife that calls Australia home and what we’re doing to ensure they thrive for future generations.

This spotlight on nature has come at the most critical time. Australia is home to wildlife found nowhere else on the planet. But due to increasing threats like climate change, hundreds of our most iconic animals and their homes are at risk of being lost forever.

  • Towering eucalypt forests which are home to the koala
  • Magnificent beaches where sea turtles nest
  • Majestic oceans where whales migrate

Thriving landscapes and wildlife are vital for people and the planet.  That is why WWF is re-imagining how to solve the challenges facing our wildlife and places – from the northern tip of the Reef to southern Antarctica.

But it’s only possible with your help. We all have a part to play in ensuring our iconic animals and places survive, and thrive. Australian nature needs you.

Please donate today to help Australian nature thrive.

How you can help

Scientists from UC Santa Cruz, Duke University and Stanford University demonstrates the scale of these ocean giants – humpback whales, Charlotte Bay, Antarctic Peninsula.

PROTECT the homes and ocean highways whales need to migrate, feed and breed.

A koala on a property at Swan Bay. A team of tree planters from Bangalow Koalas, East Coast Bush Regeneration, Minyumai IPA Rangers and WWF-Australia planted more than 2000 koala food trees and 1500 wildlife corridor trees on the property in the Richmond Valley to support a small koala colony.

RESTORE critical landscapes and homes for koalas along the east coast.
