CULTURAL FIRE: THE NEXT GENERATION

"Fire is life." - Uncle Warren Foster

The theme for this year's National Reconciliation Week is "Be a Voice for Generations".

We’re so excited to be sharing inspiring words and stories from three generations of First Peoples Caring on Country every day.

To kick things off, we’re proud to share “Cultural Fire: The Next Generation”. In this moving video, Uncle Warren (Elder and Knowledge Holder for the Yuin Nation), Firesticks Alliance’s Dan Morgan and his nephew Kobe talk about the importance of passing on cultural conservation knowledge to tomorrow’s protectors of Country.

You can find out more about how WWF-Australia works to support respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples:
