WHY YOUR ORGANISATION SHOULD HAVE A WORKPLACE GIVING PROGRAM
2020 was always going to be an important year for nature but so far it has been far bigger than we ever could have imagined. It’s during these periods of crisis that charities require the most support to help deliver services to those in need. We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of our corporate partners and the generous contributions from employees during this difficult period.
Workplace giving is one of the best ways that businesses can support WWF’s work and there are lots of benefits for both charities and employees in donating this way. A workplace giving program is easy to set up, there are low administration costs and the tax benefits make this a simple way to support the causes you care about.
We asked some of our long time workplace giving supporters why they choose to support WWF-Australia in this way.
AMP Foundation is a long-term supporter of WWF-Australia, they match all donations which means the impact is doubled!
_“Workplace giving is such a valuable program for a number of reasons, it gives staff an easy way to support the causes they are passionate about plus with the AMP Foundation dollar-matching all of their donations, they know that their impact is doubled. Having a workplace giving program also helps employees and potential employees see AMP as a company that contributes to the community and supports their staff to give back.
WWF is one of AMP staff’s favourite payroll giving charities. Staff love the broad range of environmental and animal protection work that you do.”_
- Renee Eaton, Volunteering Program Manager, AMP Foundation.
ANZ is a valued workplace giving partner who runs a double-matching workplace giving program, this means for every $1 donated ANZ contributes an additional $2.
“There are numerous benefits for both charities and employees as it’s a cost effective way to donate, with an effective reduction in administrative costs, plus the pre-tax component for employees. One clear distinction especially during times of crisis (e.g. bushfires or COVID-19), is the ability for charities to maintain a sense of ongoing financial support from their corporate partners and their employees. This the hidden power of workplace giving”
The contributions from all of our workplace giving partners help WWF continue our important work, which means that together we are building a world where humans live in harmony with nature.
