SAVE TIGERS FROM EXTINCTION

Make a tax-deductible donation by 30 June to bring MORE ROAR to the world.

Sadly there are now less than 5,600 wild tigers left in the world.

It's gut-wrenching that these extraordinary creatures are facing extinction.

In the last century, 97% of wild tigers have been wiped out by poaching, habitat loss and conflict with humans.

Today, this magnificent species needs your urgent help to survive.

Endangered tigers need caring people like you.

Tigers are truly majestic animals who are revered across countries and cultures for their power and beauty.    Their range once stretched from the tropical jungles of Bali and Java to the forests of eastern Russia.

Then they started being hunted for their body parts.

Their vast landscapes started filling with roads, farms and cities.

It became harder and harder for them to find prey to eat.

As tigers have been forced into human ‘territory’, they’ve come into increasingly dangerous conflict with people.

Your tax-deductible donation today can help protect them from ongoing threats like poaching, habitat destruction, and human-wildlife conflict.

Your gift could support vital tiger conservation work in India. It’s home to more than half of the world’s tigers. And their numbers in tiger reserves are growing.

India’s tigers are hope that their endangered species has a future.

But they are still in danger from poacher’s cruel snares, human development and people who they have been forced into dangerous competition with.

Please help protect the world’s largest tiger population and keep the ROAR in our world.

Donate to WWF-Australia, a voice for nature and wildlife conservation, by 30 June.

Threats to Tigers

POACHING

It’s sickening -  tiger skin, bones and organs are still worth so much on the black market that poachers will take considerable risks to trap them. They snare tigers with sharp wire, rope or cable around their legs.

Trapped tigers often die in agony from their injuries.  And even if tigers escape these horrific deaths, snares may kill their prey—leaving them with less to eat.

Rangers are the tiger’s best protection from poachers. Will you please donate today to help rangers in India save more beautiful tigers from poachers’ snares?

HABITAT LOSS

Tigers live in some of the most populated areas of the world. Their traditional habitats are now filled with roads, farms and cities. It’s became harder for them to find prey to eat.

Together, we can ensure that these magnificent creatures continue to roam the wild, helping to keep ecosystems in balance and inspiring generations to come.

Your gift today could help create safe ‘tiger corridors’ to connect some of the last remaining tiger strongholds.

HUMAN-TIGER CONFLICT

If a hungry tiger reaches farming land and sees livestock, it’s naturally going to follow its predatory instincts. Sadly, this can lead to it being injured or even killed in return.

Your generosity could support promising technological solutions to human-tiger conflict.       One is a sensor camera that sets off bright lights when a tiger goes past. Tigers like to hunt in the dark, and the lights are a deterrent.  The sensors can also send texts to people in a village or urban area telling them where the tiger is. People can then move their livestock and avoid confrontations with the tiger.        Your gift today can help provide more smart technology that could give wild tigers a better chance to survive.

Benefits to nature and other wildlife

As apex predators, wild tigers play a critical role in maintaining ecosystem balance. By making a donation for endangered tiger conservation, you will be making a donation for the environment in which these majestic species live. Donate to charity this end of financial year and help support tiger habitat - biologically rich and diverse landscapes that support thousands of other plants and animals, as well as providing the food, freshwater and flood protection local communities need to survive.
