AUSTRALIA POST

WWF and Australia Post are working together to help restore and protect the habitats our koalas call home.

The koala is the quintessential Australian animal, however, sadly it is facing a crisis. Last year the koala on Australia’s east coast were officially listed as an Endangered species, after dramatic population decline. Habitat destruction, climate change and extreme weather events including bushfires and floods have had a significant impact on koalas. That’s why WWF-Australia - with the help of our partner Australia Post – is determined to turn this tragedy around. Through our partnership, Australia Post is helping raise awareness and much needed funds to support koala conservation through initiatives like Pip the Koala.

Pip the Koala

Meet Pip the Koala, Australia’s Post new mascot. Pip is here to encourage everyone to take small steps to deliver a better tomorrow. To celebrate their new mascot, Australia Post has launched the Pip the Koala Resoftable plush toy. For every Pip the Koala sold, Australia Post will donate $2 to WWF-Australia to help protect and restore the homes of koalas. Pip the Koala toys are available online and in-store at participating Post Offices nationwide while stocks last.

"We are excited to launch Pip the Koala, Australia Post’s new mascot, to promote environmental awareness and raise funds to protect our Aussie icon, the koala. Australia Post is proud to partner with WWF-Australia and to join them in their mission to protect koalas from the threats that are pushing them to extinction. Together, we aim to double koala numbers across eastern Australia by 2050.”
